Ellesmere Montessori School’s mission is to provide an educational program in which the child prepares a firm foundation for a lifetime of creative and purposeful learning based on the educational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.

Our staff is comprised of Directresses trained and certified by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) in the Montessori method. Basic to the Montessori philosophy is that every child has an inherent urge to learn, and to adapt to the environment with which he finds himself surrounded. Our classrooms provide a carefully prepared environment in which the child works to develop his abilities at his own pace.
